On the Road to Health

This FREE course will help participants:

  • Reduce risk of diabetes, heart attack, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol

  • Lose weight and keep it off

  • Plan and cook delicious, healthy recipes that are fast and easy

  • Manage stress and discover healthy, hopeful ways to navigate challenges

  • Feel good again

Participants will receive:

  • A healthy recipe and ingredients to make dinner at home

  • Giveaways and resources to assist in being healthy and active

  • Consultations with dietitians and an exercise physiologist

  • Curriculum aimed to assist participants with healthy eating, getting active, and goal setting

  • Six month and one year follow-up screenings (February 2025 and August 2025)

Eligibility requirements:

  • 18+ and must have health issues, including diabetes, pre-diabetes, obesity, respiratory, or heart-related issues

  • Initial health screening *Required*: May 15 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm

  • Class Dates: Every Thursday from May 15-August 7 (no class on July 17)

  • Final health screening *Required*: July 31 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm

  • Commit to attend all 12 classes

  • Dependable transportation *transportation assistance may be available*

  • First-time participants only
