Trauma-Informed Care Training
Learn to be trauma informed
Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) training provides individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools to recognize the widespread impact of trauma and respond in ways that promote healing and resilience. This approach emphasizes safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration, ensuring that care is delivered with an understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of trauma. By shifting the focus from "What’s wrong with you?" to "What happened to you?", trauma-informed care creates more compassionate, supportive environments for individuals who have experienced adversity.
“The Lynn Institute’s “Understanding ACEs” training was a valuable experience. The instructor was very knowledgeable, engaging, and a delight to learn from. The material covered was interesting and I even learned some new ideas and perspectives. I would recommend this training for anyone who interacts with people in the social services field.”

“The Understanding ACEs training was incredibly impactful for our team. Adverse Childhood Experiences are foundational to the work of any social service agency, and this training offered both the knowledge and language needed to better understand the behaviors, barriers, and resilience of the people we serve. Brandi delivers the material in a conversational, engaging way that makes complex and heavy topics approachable while consistently centering hope. Because of the value this training brings, we have made Understanding ACEs a mandatory training for all program staff and will continue to offer it multiple times throughout the year. It has become an essential part of how we strengthen our trauma-informed approach and support both our staff and the communities we serve.”
